SYNOPSIS DAY ONE

A Quiet Place: Day One opens in a New York City hospice/cancer ward. You know, I can’t think of any place I’d rather be before the world gets invaded by sound-sensitive monsters than in a cancer ward. Really puts you in a happy place right before the PG-13 carnage begins.

We meet Red, um, Samira, AKA Sammi (Lupita Nyong’o- ) and she’s just a ray f*cking light at the cancer ward where she’s dying. She has nothing nice to say about anyone or anything, probably because she’s dying. At least she has her cat Frodo (Art the Clown), which makes sense because I would rather hang out with my cat than most people. There’s a kindly nurse Reuben (Alex Wolff) and he’s played by the kid taken over by Paimon in Hereditary so you know things will get better from here.
